![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() what I really don't like is the "can't save a race in progress". Up until I read this I've decided that after having played GP2 and GP3 and have had a blast playing them I would go for EA F1 2002 instead. I am NOT gonna do a bloody unrealistic 10 lap race in EA because the %&$£ arcade game wont let me save, thats for sure. So after all my efforts I think I have every right to save a damn race right in the middle of it if I want to. I try to learn a track and get a good setup in 30-40 laps or so on Friday and Saturday practice, and then I dive straight into qualifying. I am a full time student and have 2 part-time jobs, and barely have time to spare. They don't have their wives and gf's wanting attention in the middle of a race, they don't have to answer the phone or worry about uni exams or real work. They have years experience and know their cars and the tracks like the back of their hands. They train for F1, they test for F1, they are rich, lucky s.o.b.s that dont have a care in the world other than driving an F1 car fast. are FULL TIME drivers, they work, live, eat and sleep F1 (and **** F1 in Schummy's case). Maybe you choose games without save functions and prefer to spend hours after hours in front of the PC - I don't, so my choose is now simple, I will choose GP4 and I'm sure I'll have a blast playing another full racelength F1 season with it. Sometimes I want a sim to play around with, sometimes I just want something arcade fun like a touring car game or GT3 or something just to kill a little time. Playing games is for fun and entertainement. If I want to have it for real, I wouldn't be playing games - I would get a racinglicense, get myself a racingcar and go racing for real at weekends. But I want to have the option to be able to save and come back if I have to do something else for a while or just loose patience for playing. At the same time I want to play F1 games as real as possible - I don't want to have 25 lap races if I can have 50 lap races and so on. I have a life - meaning the phone rings, food is to be cooked, washing to be done, friends to visit and be visited by, a job to do etc etc etc. Well I dunno about you but I'm not a real racingdriver, if I were I wouldn't be here but at Nurburgring celebrating pole or something.įor me I rarely have two hours to devote sitting in front of the PC doing nothing but playing. Haha - thats just crap, do you think the real drivers get to stop half way through a way and say, 'Oh, I would just like to stop here and come back later, its a race. ![]()
